<aside> ⭐ Given that all books are currently manually uploaded, it is crucial for them to be submitted in the correct format to avoid unnecessary delays. If a book does not adhere to the required format, we regretfully may need to return it for correction.

Rest assured it looks like a lot but it shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes (considering a book with 30 chapters that has nothing done at all). Most of you will already have some elements done so it should be even faster 😉

Step 1: Manuscript

Make sure all your chapters are in one document, as opposed to sending one document for each chapter.

Step 2: Run it through Grammarly

Check your book through Grammarly.

Grammarly

In case you don't know, Grammarly is a grammar/spelling checker that quite a few authors already use (that's why we picked this one :) ) it's totally free. You can use it directly online or add it as an extension to Microsoft Office :)

Grammarly for Microsoft Office

If you wrote a novel I’d recommend using the extension. It directly opens within your Word document/Google doc and highlights the errors.

We of course don’t need it to be Grammarly perfect since the software is not always right, but please use it to remove all typos, and fix grammar, spelling, and some punctuation errors.

When we receive the document we will “humanly” check the mistakes that are highlighted so don’t worry if it is highlighting words or phrases that are correct (I see all of you world and language creators 😜)

Step 3: Format your book

Here are the different elements to keep in mind.

  1. Remove your book cover from the Word document
  2. Remove the table of content
  3. Remove headers and footers
  4. Add your book title on the first page and format it to “Title” For Word
